Appeal to the Win Sells for $150,000
Appeal to the Win (Hip 390), in foal to Flatter, sold for $150,000 during the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed sale. Douglas S. Arnold, agent purchased the eight-year-old daughter of Successful Appeal from the consignment of Claiborne Farm, agent.
A stakes-placed winner at three, Appeal to the Win is already the dam of Mr Phil (Mr Speaker), twice placed this year at three, as well as a two-year-old by Street Sense and a yearling by Connect. Her sire Successful Appeal is broodmare sire of multiple stakes winners, including Belmont S. (G1) winner Tapwrit.
Appeal to the Win is out of the winning Grand Slam mare Grand Breeze, making her a half-sister to four other winners, including multiple group stakes winner Cool Cowboy (Kodiak Kowboy). She hails from the immediate family of champions Juno (BRZ) and Love 'n' Happiness (BRZ).
