A filly
from the final crop of the late CITY ZIP sold for $200,000 during the second session of The October Sale. Offered as Hip 643, the dark bay or brown filly was purchased by De Meric Stables, agent from the consignment of Anderson Farms, agent.
This filly is the second foal out of the unraced ARCH mare HELENA’S TRIOMPHE; her first foal is recent two-year-old maiden special weight winner ARTILENA. This filly is closely related to two winners under the second dam, both by CITY ZIP, most notably Grade 1 winner, multiple graded stakes winner, and nearly three-time millionaire COLLECTED. That horse is a contender for this year’s Breeders’ Cup Classic.
Hip 643 was bred by Andersons Farms & Marette Farrell.
