Well-Related Kitty Panda to Fred Hertrich for $160,000

KITTY PANDA (Hip 199), a stakes placed daughter of SKY MESA, sold for $160,000 at the Kentucky Winter Mixed sale. Offered in foal to BLAME, the mare was purchased by Fred Hertrich from the consignment of Winter Quarter Farm, agent.

Kitty Panda was a winner at 2 and 3, stakes placed as a sophomore. She is already the dam of COUNTABLE, an INTO MISCHIEF filly who is now a winner at 3 with earnings of $40,200. She has a two-year-old colt from the first crop of Breeders’ Cup champion LIAM’S MAP and a yearling colt by BODEMEISTER.

This mare is one of four winners out of the GULCH mare FAHAMORE, who also produced two graded stakes producing mares. The first, AKILINA, is a graded stakes placed stakes winner responsible for Grade 1 placed stakes winner RIENO TESORO and multiple Grade 2 placed stakes winner GOVERNOR MALIBU. The second, seven-time winner BLUE DEVIL BEL, is most notably the dam of Grade 1 winner AUDIBLE. Kitty Panda’s third dam is Alabama S. (G1) winner CLASSY CATHY.
