Medaglia d'Oro Filly to Claiborne for $900,000

Hip 150, a filly by Medaglia d'Oro, sold for $900,000 during the second session of The Saratoga Sale. The bay filly was purchased by Claiborne Farm, agent from the consignment of Indian Creek, agent.
This filly is by Medaglia d'Oro, sire of Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra, two-time Eclipse Champion Songbird, and Canadian Horse Year Wonder Gadot.
Hip 150 is out of Veracity, a full sister to stakes winner Cheery, who is already dam of multiple Grade 1 winner Elate – also by Medaglia d'Oro. This filly's dam is also a half-sister to Tax, dam of this year's Jim Dandy S. (G2) winner Tax. The immediate family includes Grade/Group 1 winners Hero's Honor, Sea Hero, and Eastern Echo.
The April foal was bred in Kentucky by Fifth Avenue Bloodstock.
