Curlin Colt Brings $1,500,000
Hip 153, a colt by two-time Horse of the Year Curlin, sold for $1,500,000 during the second session of The Saratoga Sale. The chestnut colt was purchased by Aquis Farm AUS, Let's Go Stable, & Crawford Farm Racing from the consignment of Denali Stud, agent.
This colt is by Curlin, sire of top colts like last year's Champion Two-Year-Old Male Good Magic and classic winners Exaggerator and Palace Malice.
Hip 153 is the first foal out of the multiple Group 1 winning Scat Daddy mare Wapi (CHI), Champion Three-Year-Old Filly in her native Chile. Second dam We Can Leave is a Group 1 placed stakes winner who produced seven winners, including this colt's dam and stakes winner Lucky Winner. The immediate family includes champions We Can Seek (CHI) and Weekend Trip.
The March foal was bred in Kentucky by Don Alberto Corporation and Three Chimneys Farm, LLC.
