Into Mischief Colt to Spendthrift for $475,000
Hip 1147, a colt by Leading Sire Into Mischief, sold for $475,000 during the third session of the Kentucky October Yearlings sale. The bay colt was purchased by Spendthrift Farm from the consignment of Paramount Sales, agent.
Into Mischief, Leading Sire of 2019, is defending his title in 2020 with the likes of Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Authentic, multiple Grade 1 winner Gamine, and recent Frizette S. (G1) winner Dayoutoftheoffice. He is also the sire in 2020 of graded stakes winning colts Mutasaabeq, Bemma's Boy, Cool Arrow, Mischievous Alex, and Sombeyay.
This colt is out of the Gilded Time mare Ashlee's Lady, who is already the dam of five winners from six to race. Those include Grade 2 winner Yara (Put It Back), herself the dam of undefeated stakes winning juvenile filly of this year Moon Swag. Ashlee's Lady is also dam of Petunia Face (Congrats), who has produced three winners to date, including champion Derek Adrian and Grade 1 placed winner Jalen Journey. The immediate family includes champion Serenading, as well as Grade 1 winners Healthy Addiction, Sweet Addiction, and Brilliant Speed.
