Hip 449, a colt by Lemon Drop Kid, sold for $105,000 during the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Renee Dailey from the consignment of Brookdale Sales, agent.
Lemon Drop Kid is the sire of Grade 1 winning males such as Beach Patrol and Richard's Kid, and talented three-year-old colt Field Pass, winner of the Dania Beach S., going for him this year. This colt, out unraced Indian Charlie mare Cathy's Cornbread, is a half-brother to stakes winner Breaking Bread (Quality Road) and to stakes placed two-year-old of 2019 Crimson Zip (City Zip). This is the immediate family multiple Grade 2 winner and near-millionaire Top Secret.
